Meet Ryan – Founder & Administrator of TRU-Ryde Transit
Ryan has dedicated his entire adult life to the taxi, livery, and specialty transportation industry. From his early college years to the present day, he has built his career from the ground up — literally.
With over 13 years of hands-on experience, Ryan has worn every hat in the business: driver, monitor, dispatcher, office manager, maintenance technician, and administrator. This all-in approach has shaped him into the well-rounded and highly respected leader he is today.
Built on Passion, Backed by Experience
One of Ryan’s core inspirations comes from a college professor — a former co-owner of a $400 million enterprise that once supplied 80% of the canned beans in the U.S. That professor made it a point to sweep the shop floor every day, proving that leadership starts with humility, hard work, and presence. The lesson?
“Become a jack-of-all-trades. Earn your team’s trust. Build value together. And above all, be passionate. If that doesn't come naturally — you're in the wrong place.”
Ryan has lived by that motto since day one.
Setting the Standard in Human Service Transportation
Today, Ryan focuses nearly 90% of TRU-Ryde’s operations on contract management for Massachusetts' Human Service Transportation (HST) Office, including brokerages like MART (Montachusett Regional Transit Authority) and FRTA (Franklin Regional Transit Authority).
His team ensures the safe, reliable, and compassionate transportation of vulnerable individuals across the region — including those traveling to:

Transportation is more than a business for Behnam — it’s a legacy. Growing up in a family deeply rooted in the taxi, livery, and specialty transportation industry, Behnam has seen it all: from the day-to-day logistics of getting passengers safely to their destinations, to the complex financial mechanics behind running a successful transportation company.
The Numbers Guy with a Vision
A graduate of Western New England University with a degree in business, Behnam brings a sharp financial mind and a deep understanding of operational strategy to TRU-Ryde Transit. Known as “the numbers guy”, he thrives on solving complex challenges, especially when they involve data and analytics.
With expertise in statistical analysis, data modeling, and financial forecasting, Behnam plays a critical role in ensuring the long-term financial health and sustainability of TRU-Ryde Transit. His ability to see both the big picture and the smallest details allows the company to grow with confidence and clarity.

Behnam’s commitment to service excellence began long before his career in transportation. At just 17, he started working in the restaurant industry, where he learned the value of consistency, attention to detail, and putting the customer first.
That early experience instilled a deep respect for the service sector — a passion he has carried into the transportation field. Even in his behind-the-scenes role, Behnam ensures that every decision made supports outstanding passenger experiences and operational integrity.
